We have temporarilly stopped asking for deposits due to the uncertainties caused by the pandemic.  If you have to change or cancel your booking, it would be appreciated if you could please give us as much notice as you can. 

We will contact you ahead of your stay to let you know of  any practices that we have implemented in order to comply with restrictions in place at the time and to ensure safety of guests and staff.    

Terms and Conditions of Booking


We ask for a deposit to confirm bookings, as follows:


Deposits can be paid by debit or credit card or by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Fairfield House.

The balance is due on departure and can be paid by card or cash.

Arrival and Departure times:

Arrive between 3.30 and 4.30pm if possible.  If that's not convenient, please contact us to arrange a suitable time. 

We ask that you vacate your room by 10.30 am on your day of departure.


If you cancel a booking, I will always do my best to re-let the rooms. However, if I am unable to do so, please note that deposits are non-refundable. Where I am able to re-let the rooms, I will refund your deposit to you less an admin charge.


Guests are responsible for any breakages or damages which they, or a member of their party, cause to the accommodation or contents.  Please report these as soon as possible (it can significantly reduce the impact of accidental spills if we are able to act quickly).
